"The national leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC), said on Thursday (12 Sept, 2013) it was ready to receive the seven aggrieved People Democratic Party (PDP) governors into its fold. The National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Lai Mohammed who stated this in Abuja after a meeting of the party’s National Working Committee, NWC, said its (APC) governors had been given the assignment of wooing their aggrieved PDP counterparts since all of them belong to a faction of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF".
 

Why would APC set up a committee to woo PDP members?

The aggrieved People's Democratic Party (PDP) governors are unhappy about internal administration matters within the party and not the PDP ideology. These PDP governors believe 100% in the PDP ideology, The issues raised by these PDP members are currently being addressed by the PDP leadership.

Why would APC seek to woo PDP members who have a completely different ideology from theirs?; could this be borne out of desperation or does APC simply not have an ideology to make any positive changes in Nigeria?. 

It is important to stress the theme of the upcoming election (2015) will be based SOLEY on ‘one man or woman, one vote', this means the vote of a state governor and that of a market woman counts as two votes ONLY, so the strategy of wooing seven governors instead of focusing on 167 million people demonstrates APC is out of touch with today's Nigeria.

Goodluck Jonathan is reported to have said "Let me once again assure all Nigerians that this time, under my watch, all votes will count." - Source: Reuters.

Nuhu Ribadu vs Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo

"Pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu allegedly described corruption under President Olusegun Obasanjo as worse than that of late General Sani Abacha, according to United States cable obtained by Wikileaks.
The report released by Wikileaks stated that a meeting which the former US Ambassador to Nigeria, Robin Sanders had with Mallam Ribadu to discuss his removal from the EFCC, Ribadu told the US ambassador that Obasanjo was good at covering his tracks while admitting that corruption was worse under Obasanjo. Ribadu vs Chief Bode George

Ribadu exposed a case of monumental fraud against Olabode George and his colleagues in the NPA Board however in an interview he granted The NEWS  magazine in 2007 and reproduced by the Sunday Sun of November 8, 2009, Page 47, Nuhu Ribadu said: "Olabode George was never an executive officer of NPA. He was a part-time chairman”.

BBC Report indicts Mallam Nuhu Ribadu

Nuhu Ribadu has been hailed at home and abroad as a leading Nigeria  anti-corruption crusader but this BBC report shows clearly Nuhu Ribadu as chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC may have specifically targeted specific people instead of going after corrupt officials without fear or favour.

The question Nigerians must ask themselves is if Nuhu Ribadu changes his mind like the weather on the issue of corruption what other isuess will he change his mind to serve his personal interest?.

Nigerians MUST know exactly where their leaders stand on issues of national imporatnce.

Buhari's views on POWER

Muhammadu Buhari ruled Nigeria as a military dictator from December 31, 1983 – August 27, 1985, his government had no ideas, plan or political will to solve the power issues affecting the country during his tenure as head of state; it's important to stress there is no evidence to date to suggest that this has changed.

Jonathan's practical approach to POWER?

Goodluck Jonathan's approach to power when he took office in 06 May 2007 was to try and understand why past government had failed to deliver power to Nigerians. Jonathan took over the Power portfolio as soon as he took office in May2007, this move allowed him to have a clear understanding of the real issues and possible solutions. From his findings, the Jonathan  lead government developed a 'workable and practical plan' to break the cycle of non-delivery in the sector. Learning from the telecomm sector privertisation success story, it was decided that government must try another approach -  Power Sector Privatization 

On the priority list of most Nigerians, they want government to power up homes and business first then probe the past. Nigerians are not looking for a president who will spend all his time in office probing the past and yet again fail to deliver on the issue of power.
